Jamie Baumhardt, Licensed Massage Therapist

Jamie Baumhardt’s experience working with athletes and being an athlete herself, helps her understand the active body.  Whether your goal is playing catch in the backyard or being competitive in your next event, her focus is to optimize your next opportunity. She recognizes the demands that your job or daily activities can have on the body and how difficult it can be if something doesn’t feel “right.”  She wants to help you perform better and recover faster by reducing pain and discomfort, increasing mobility, and assisting your body to its optimal potential. Each massage is tailored to you and what your body needs to achieve optimal health.

Jamie is a graduate of St. Norbert College in De Pere, WI where she received her Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary and Early Childhood Education.  After moving to Atlanta, Georgia and a few years of teaching, Jamie decided to attend ASHA School of Massage to pursue a certification in Massage Therapy where she graduated in 2010.  Jamie returned to her hometown of Eden, WI in 2012 where she is now a Wisconsin licensed massage therapist and a member of the American Massage Therapy Association.

During her time in Georgia, she had the opportunity to be active both in the community and nationally with various sports teams and events.  The following is a list of a few of the teams and events she has had the privilege of working with:

As an athlete herself, Jamie understands the active body and integrates multiple techniques to provide the best care for each patient. She specializes in the following techniques:

  • Neuromuscular Therapy
    • balances the body’s central nervous system with the musculoskeletal system
  • Clinical Sports Massage
    • Enhances sports performance and recovery
  • Deep Tissue Massage
    • Assists with chronic muscular pain and injury rehabilitation and reduces inflammation-related pain
  • Trigger Point Therapy
    • Based on the relationship between chronic pain and its source, trigger point therapy is used to relieve muscular pain and dysfunction through applied pressure to trigger points
  • S.A.S.T.M. (Sound Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization)
    • Breaks down fascial restrictions and scar tissue to relieves chronic pain and increase mobility
  • Therapeutic Swedish Massage (Relaxation Massage)
    • Energize the body by stimulating circulation and promote relaxation
  • Spider Tech Kinesiology Taping
  • Other techniques include: Myofascial release, lymphatic drainage, muscle energy, and scar tissue release

With a wide range of techniques and certifications, Jamie is able to customize each massage session to specifically address individual body’s needs.  She believes in an integrated approach to healing the body and sees the importance of combining massage therapy with regular chiropractic care and nutrition to achieve optimal health.  She is very passionate about enhancing the quality of life of all her patients through natural touch and correcting soft tissue imbalances that limits the body to perform at its optimum potential.
